Model Legislature convenes in Winona
Over 150 high school students from seven area schools are in Winona to take part in a Model Legislature at Winona State University's Tau Center. Students will spend two days serving as members of the House of Representative, State Senate and Governor's office. This year's model legislature's Governer is Ethan Costello. Shay Thompson will serve as Lieutentent Governor. This morning, they said they were both excited to get the session underway. The model legislature will be in session until 3:00 today and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. State Representative Gene Pelowski of Winona has been the advisor for the model legislature for 33 years.
