Today is a day to honor America's soldiers. On this Veteran's Day, students at Winona Senior High School paid tribute to the men and women who have fought and those now fighting for freedom. At Veteran's Park, veterans held their annual program, highlighted by speakers and the playing of taps. At midnight last night, Winona area veterans began a 24–hour vigil to honor veterans and the sacrifices they made to defend freedom around the world. Everyone is invited to stop down to Veterans Park, the site of the 24 hour watch, to visit the vets and warm up with a cup of coffee in "The Bunker" located underneath the band shell.
