FEMA Grants Will Help Pay For Restoration Of Farmers Park
The Winona County Board of Commissioners were updated on progress being made to restore Farmers Community Park. Farmers Park was nearly destroyed by last August's flood. Park board president Carolyn Dingfelder told the board that they will receive some grant monies from FEMA to help offset costs of the project. Steps are being taken to restore Garvin Brook in the park and plant an erosion control blanket. Total cost of the project is estimated at around $85,000.
