Man's legs broken when his pickup runs him over
A Lewiston man had both legs broken when his pickup truck ran over him Tuesday night. The Winona County Sheriff's Department said 63-year-old Lawrence Nelson was transported by Lewiston Ambulance to Community Memorial Hospital for treatment following the incident that happened just south of County Road 25 on Rolling Hills Road in Utica Township. Reports say a piece of lumber fell off Nelson's truck and he had stopped to retrieve it. However, he told investigators he failed to put the vehicle in "park" when he got out of the cab. Nelson apparently slipped and was partially under the vehicle when the truck allegedly rolled forward, running over his legs.
